MAN EATER

This title sequence was created for a fictional television show about a true crime story from the early 2000s. The title, based on a book covering the heinous crime, reveals just enough of the story to give viewers a sense of what occurred.

I took images of various kitchen objects from my apartment and used beet juice to create smudges that resembled blood. I also scanned several drawings and paper to use as the background. My goal was to make the title sequence feel as realistic, grimy, and dark as possible, while emphasizing that the crime took place inside a home—the very place that is supposed to feel the safest.
