BRANDING
BERSERK
BERSERK is a branding project where I developed a brand identity for a speaker company. I named the company BERSERK, targeting listeners of heavy metal music. This project was a labor of love for me, and with its concise content, I wanted it to make a powerful impact.
I designed four different lockups for the brand and selected a fitting color palette. Based in Norway—known for its deep roots in heavy metal music—the name BERSERK reflects the intense emotions evoked by the genre, while also connecting to Nordic culture and language.
In my primary logo, I created a sense of tension with narrow spaces between the letters, reminiscent of being in a concert pit. I also used the negative space to form a lightning bolt, linking to the Norse god Thor and classic heavy metal imagery. I named this typeface SEPULCHER and extended the design to create additional letters for other branding elements.
The main secondary logo, while heavily inspired by the primary typeface, also resembles a Nordic rune. In the other two logos, I continued the theme of the lightning bolt as a key design element.
